This is a service offered by the Bootstrap Network to cities.

Many economic development initiatives focus heavily on attracting large companies or investors. This is a challenging strategy because both firms and investors have a list of requirements and seek tangible economic incentives. It also neglects the most powerful asset already available to the community - it's latent entrepreneurs - who often subscribe to the pervasive Entrepreneurial Myths.

In Austin the Bootstrap Network partners with the Small Business Development Program and is listed as a key econonmic development resource by the Austin Chamber of Commerce.

The Bootstrap Network works with city economic development offices, Chambers of Commerce and other local organizations to activate and support local bootstrap chapters.
