Description
The Long Center for the Performing Arts aims to provide a state-of-the-art venue for a broad array of regional performing arts groups, Texas musicians and a permanent home, starting with the Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Lyric Opera and Ballet Austin. The Center has a mission to make the arts accessible to everyone and the facility also includes the AT&T Foundation Education Rooms for community arts education programs, workshops and meetings.
Ways for Bootstrappers to Connect
The Long Center welcomes all who are interested in giving their time and efforts in support of the project. Currently they are gathering information from individuals who wish to become volunteers. If you are interested, email: info AT thelongcenter DOT org. In general, if you would like to learn more about the Long Center, add your contact info on their website.
Additionally, The Long Center is accepting artist submissions for its upcoming 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 presenting seasons. They receive many requests and there is a review process conducted by the programming director. Visit their website to submit a proposal.
