[http://www.bdtechdaily.com/ BD Tech Daily] is a daily email newsletter (see below) produced by Jason and his team at [http://www.abdmag.com/ Business District Magazine]. Bootstrap has a weekly post on Fridays, which also appears on the [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/ Bootstrap Austin blog].  I kicked off the weekly posts last year with a series on the [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/09/5-stages-of-bootstrap-venture.html stages of bootstrapping] from [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/10/preideation-awaken.html Preideation], [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/10/ideation-demo.html Ideation], [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/11/valley-of-death-renamed.html Valley of Death], [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/11/growth.html Growth] and [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/11/rebootstrap.html Rebootstrap]. I concluded by describing bootstrapping as the [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2007/11/bootstrapping-third-way-of.html third way of entrepreneurship], integrating the best of the other 2 models, the cookie-cutter/franchise and the funding/VC. This was part of a year-long [http://www.abdmag.com/bijoy_testimonial.htm PR/Branding exercise] developed with Jason. If you want to do an extended PR/branding campaign similar to what we did for Bootstrap, look into Jason's [http://www.abdmag.com/welcome_to_a_new_paradigm.htm Get Fully Exposed] service with ABD Mag. This service is appropriate for companies in the Growth stage.

It is also a place where Bootstrap members can share their expertise and [http://bootstrapaustin.org/map bootstrap journey]. We have found that when bootstrappers share their story with others, they lock in their own learning. And communicating through various social media is a requirement for any bootstrap entrepreneur.

We are creating an opportunity for the bootstrap community's expertise to be heard with the ability to post to BD Tech Daily and the Bootstrap blog. See below for some of the past posts. Content varies from reporting on a Bootstrap Austin meeting, to reflecting on an aspect of bootstrapping. The idea is that you will promote bootstrapping/the community AND your business. Ideally, you give people a place to continue the conversation with you as [http://community.bootstrapnetwork.com/brianmassey Brian] did on his post on [http://www.bootstrapaustin.org/2008/01/if-you-selling-to-humans-you-got-to.html David Ansel], the Soup Peddler.

Editorial Mission

The Bootstrap Blog shares news about the bootstrap community updated by Contributors who post directly to the blog.

It is also a place where Bootstrap members can share their expertise and bootstrap journey. We have found that when bootstrappers share their story with others, they lock in their own learning. And communicating through various social media is a requirement for any bootstrap entrepreneur.

When you write for the Bootstrap Blog, we will cross-post your articles on BD Tech Daily and Austin Entrepreneur Network.

Steps to Get your Post on the Bootstrap Blog

  1. Pick a date from the calendar below and send an email to: jason AT abdmag DOT com - you will get an email from Jason confirming your date.
  2. Send Jason your blogpost the DAY BEFORE your date. See earlier posts by members below if you need some inspiration
  3. Jason will edit your blog and it will be posted on the Bootstrap Blog, AEN Network and tweeted on @bootstrapaustin
